How it works

A session is a conversation, not an exercise. Here is what happens, and what you stay in control of.

  1. Arrive

Lumo greets you, says plainly that it is an AI companion, and lets you land. Nothing is expected of you yet.

  2. Unload

Say whatever is on your mind, in any order. Lumo listens and asks small, kind questions so you can get it all out.

  3. Reflect

Lumo gently says back what it heard, so a tangle starts to look like a few separate things.

  4. One gentle technique

If you want one, Lumo offers a single, simple practice such as slow breathing or setting a worry down for tomorrow.

  5. Settle

The voice softens and slows. You get a one-line takeaway, and an optional wind-down if you are still awake.

Around the session

  • A daily check-in. A three minute version when you only want to say how today went.
  • Memory you control. Lumo keeps a short list of what matters, such as people, worries and wins. It is called “What I remember” and you can edit or clear it any time.
  • Quiet reminders, if you want them. Notifications are off until you turn them on, at most one a day, and always kind. Lumo never guilt-trips you. It does not wilt and does not miss you, and there are no streaks to lose.
  • Captions on by default. You can read along softly as you talk.

What Lumo is, and is not

Lumo is an AI companion, not a person and not a therapist. It is for adults, 18 and over. It is not an emergency service.
